A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

To date, our project engagement has included support for outstanding organizations, and involvement with designated individuals or families. We have supported people directly and worked with groups that provide direct support.

We believe in identifying exemplary groups that understand their local challenges and approach solutions with empathy and intention.

We support schools with books and materials, underwrite field trips for classes and work directly with families in need to help them stabilize their lives. We collaborate with organizations that provide mental health support, recognizing emotional well-being as a vital part of long-term stability. We work with young people who “age out” of foster care and need transitional support into independent adulthood. We help other organizations raise funds toward college tuition costs. We backed other charities that did not achieve their financial goals and risked getting out of business. We helped these charities become healthy and self-sufficient.

Our Projects

Housing project

We provided financial support to complete a project that provided temporary housing in a 16-unit apartment building, dedicated to people facing a family challenge or coming back to society after extended periods in prison. The project also included a restaurant set up to provide employment for people with autism and other disabilities.

Supporting people with disabilities

  • Financial support to a charity supporting people with autism, creating a lab where people could learn how to make and sell attractive artisan objects.
  • Special needs education: We provided funding for class supplies to enhance care for children with disabilities. We are all passionate about this topic and, in particular, Michela regularly supports local schools, teaching kids with special needs.

Helping families thrive

  • We covered a one-year nursery fee for a family in need, supporting children of immigrants and low-income families in Italy.
  • We provided housing assistance to a devoted 65-year-old grandmother who was raising her 11-year-old granddaughter, during a difficult transition in life.
  • We provided grocery and gas gift cards to support a grieving family who faced financial hardship after the loss of their primary provider.
  • We supported a housing project that provided apartments to individuals facing difficult circumstances, including a woman and her daughter after a divorce.

A Journey of Redemption

  • We supported the return to society of a person who had faced a long period of homelessness and addiction. We provided financial help, friendship, mentorship and guidance. Now she is a role model who helps others in her area.
  • After enduring  the immense loss of his wife to cancer and his daughter in a car accident, a man faced despair. He lacked employment, felt helpless, struggled with his past and even attempted suicide. We helped him enter rehab and connected him with the Salvation Army. Today, he has a job, a home and is rebuilding his life with hope.
  • We helped a 70-year-old man who was released on parole after a long prison sentence in Italy. We helped him reunite with his son and granddaughter, and helped him find a job that will allow them to live together.
  • We provided mentorship and practical support for a young person who was coming out of a long period of addiction. He found his place working in the kitchen of a pub.

Mental Health Support

  • We provided financial assistance to help a center for adults with mental health challenges stay open. This historic organization in Italy, which has been active for decades, risked going out of business.

Education Support

  • We provided assistance for a class of children to attend school in Nigeria for one year, ensuring access to education and a brighter future.
  • We helped a class of children from low-income families in the UK attend a school trip with their Catholic school and church. For many, it was their first time traveling outside their country, allowing them to experience history, religion and a sense of inclusion.
  • We supported a fundraising event in New York to help underprivileged students succeed in their college careers.
  • We paid for a year of university education for a bright Nigerian student who otherwise would not have had the financial means to access higher education.
